**JOB SUMMARY**

The responsibilities of the Project Delivery Lead are defined by bringing into a single role the responsibilities of traditional Project Managers and Business Analysts. The Project Delivery Lead guides the overall course of the project from strategy and vendor selection and also directly creates details like project plans, detailed requirements, business process design, test cases, and deployment plans. In particular, this role collaborates with technology architects and leads to ensure that technology design and business requirements remain in sync. Note, however, that this role does not directly manage technology team members, including developers. These technology roles report to the relevant Architect role.

The Project Delivery Lead for finance reporting is assigned to financial reporting related projects. He must be adaptable to projects of different types and sizes. For smaller projects, the role will own more responsibilities. For larger projects, the role may be supported by a dedicated Business Analyst and / or Project Manager.

For all projects, this role tracks the project budget and project plan. The Project Delivery Lead also continuously monitors projects for potential risks and seeks to proactively keep all teams aligned via structured project management and status reporting to executive stakeholders.

In addition to focus on successful project management and the quality of the delivered solution, successful Project Delivery Leads, in time, evolve into de-facto coaches. In this capacity, the Project Delivery Lead maintains a “teach to fish” mindset throughout each project and sets an example, with a high bar, for business stakeholders, vendors, and other PMO members to follow. When needed, this role will coach other project participants in specific CHEF best practices.

In the context of Financial Reporting project, the delivery lead will support financial reporting process reengineering, finance data analysis, chart of account review.

The Project Delivery Lead works directly with a broad set of roles: Enterprise Architect, Stakeholders, Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Technology Architects, vendors, and advisors.

Specifically for this role, the project delivery lead will interact directly with the head of finance operations and CFO.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

- Deliver financial reporting solutions via projects that are on time, on budget, and in scope
- Create and manage projects with strong stakeholder alignment and buy-in re: strategy, scope, and timeline
- Drive close project collaboration across finance organization, technology, and third-party teams
- Manage, support, and synthesize the work of project team members, including Business Analysts
- Create project plans, socialize them with stakeholders, and keep them up-to-date and available on file share
- Directly create appropriate CHEF artifacts in Enterprise Architect for managed projects
- Write all functional requirements as user stories
- Analyse data, chart of account and financial data flows.
- Create test cases and record results with direct traceability to user stories
- After first three months: Create CHEF Gate Deck presentations to standards with limited coaching
- After first six months: Can teach introduction to CHEF approach to new hires

**TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Required:

- At least 10 years of experience
- Experience in delivering Finance or ERP project
- Create Operating Platform Model diagrams
- Agile experience: Write Epics and Personas
- Create detailed functional requirements, including acceptance criteria
- Create detailed requirement for data transfer or interfaces
- Design business processes via activity diagrams
- Write and execute test cases that tie to design requirements
- Thoughtful practitioner of multiple methodologies and frameworks
- Vendor management experience
- Project Management experience, including MS Project or similar
- Organize own work and that of team
- Important:

- UML BPML knowledge and modelling experience
- Create a Business Domain Model or Data Model
- Create and manage testing plans
- Capture bugs and enhancements requests
- Experience with management consulting or system integrations
- Experience in the full life cycle of complex software deployment projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Good practices for version control of artifacts
- Desirable but not required:

- Collaborate with Technology Team to document some artifacts: Deployment Model and Sequence Diagram
- Contribute to deployment plans
- Experience in strategic planning and execution
- Sufficient Six Sigma knowledge
- Experience with Jira or similar
- Financial or accounting knowledge
