**ROLES ‍‍****:
You play a key role in overseeing and guiding country finance matters within the Southeast Asia region, Japan, and India on month-end closing, accuracy of system data and any accounting, audit, tax, and CorpSec related matters. You are the technical accounting expert with strong business acumen
- Policy and Controls
- Define, implement, enforce, and evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness of internal accounting, expense, and control policies and procedures, to provide reasonable assurance that the accounting and reporting processes are adequate to manage risk and accuracy
- Work with cross-functional teams to address any identified gaps in controls
- Provide management with insights on matters concerning financial/governance impact and recommended actions to sharpen business decisions and mitigate risk for regional entities
- Accounting: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting (statutory, regulatory, management, and investor), integrity of corporate data, and the safeguarding of assets
- Prepare accurate and timely Consolidated Financial Statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Oversee and sign off the Local Entity Financial Statements prepared by in-country Accounting Managers to ensure they are compliant with laid out policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards
- Lead crucial projects such as revenue recognition, accounts payable process and controls, process improvement, transfer pricing, intercompany agreements and transactions, accounting system implementation and other group level initiatives while managing stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Ensure accurate and timely Accounting and Bank Reconciliation (oversee Finance Executives)
- Accounts Payable (with Finance Executives help): ensure policy compliance, accuracy and legitimacy, and timeliness
- Accounts Receivable: validate PayOps+DI figures
- Monthly Closing
- Define, implement, and drive the month-end and year-end accounting closing procedures
- Coordinate with in-country Accounting Managers and Finance Executives to prepare timely monthly closing financial statements
- Audit
- Coordinate FY22 and on-going annual audits with external auditors
- Direct and participate in the preparation of audit including all memos
- Manage the operational relationship with external auditors and accounting/tax advisors
- Tax and CorpSec: Review all tax filings (statutory, with-holding tax, etc.) prepared by the Tax partner and ensure compliance with tax filing deadlines, and work with the CorpSec partner to manage the CorpSec matters
- Business Partnering
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with external advisors, auditors, and government investment agencies to facilitate business growth and continuity
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams for accounting, reporting, tax, audit, and corpsec matters. Provide information and documents as needed while bringing accounting/financial/tax implications in business decision making
- Partner with relevant stakeholders such as Treasury, FP&A, Expansion, Legal, Compliance, Strategy & Planning, and Commercial teams to advise and support on budgeting, variance analysis, optimising group costs and resource planning, new product or market launches etc.
- People Management
- Build, develop, and retain a world class team of Accounting Managers and Finance Executive; provide coaching; manage by outcomes; and encourage a culture of collaboration

- You are a qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA) with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- You have 8+ years of relevant working experience in general accounting function and commercial finance in Southeast Asia, exposure to India and Japan are good to have
