ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- YOUR ROLE WILL BE ASSISTING AND SUPPORTING THE NEWBUILDING & PROJECTS DEPARTMENT UNDER THE GENERAL MANAGER
- YOU WILL BE OVERSEEING A VARIETY OF TURNKEY SHIP NEW BUILDING PROJECTS OF THE COMPANY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS, MONITORING THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT PLANS, PROGRESS REPORTS, AND ACCEPTANCE OF INSPECTIONS / TESTING.
- WORK CLOSELY WITH THE NEW BUILDING SITE MANAGER, MAKE SITE VISITS, ATTEND SEA TRIALS, AND STUDY CHANGES IN CLASS RULES, IMO, MARPOL, INTERNATIONAL RULES AND REGULATIONS, AND OIL MAJOR REQUIREMENTS.
- ENSURE TIMELY DELIVERY OF ALLNEW BUILDING VESSEL WITHIN SCHEDULE AND IS BUILT TO REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.
- WEEKLY AND MONTHLY REPORTING TO THE OWNER’S OFFICE ABOUT CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE PROGRESS AND ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION (MAJOR NON-CONFORMITIES, DELAYS CHANGES IN EQUIPMENT, CONSTRUCTION OR DESIGN ETC.
- CONTROL OF SHIP DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION IN COORDINATION WITH THE OWNER’S SHIP REGISTRY DEPARTMENT.
- CHECK AND ORGANIZE THE SUPPLY OF BUILDERS’ AND OWNERS’ SPARES AND CONSUMABLES STORES TO THE VESSEL.
- PERFORM AD-HOC DUTIES AS AND WHEN REQUIRED.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- THE CANDIDATE MUST BE HAVING MASTER'S MARINER F.G. AND HAVE SAILING EXPERIENCE OF 1 YEAR OR MORE AS A MASTER AND WORKED ASHORE FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST 3 YEARS IN SHIP MANAGEMENT, ADDITIONAL DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL /ELECTRICAL WOULD BE OF VALUE-ADDED. FAMILIARITY AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE SHIPBUILDING PROCESS WITH COMMERCIAL AND OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE TO OVERSEE EACH PROJECT UNTIL COMPLETION WHILE KEEPING CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE OWNER’S OFFICE.
- ADEQUATE TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE IN WORKING WITH DESKTOPS/LAPTOPS INCLUDING STANDARD SOFTWARE.
- YOU WILL BE STATIONED AT JAPAN AND CHINA SHIPYARDS DURING THE CONSTRUCTION.
