**Job scope**:
Hardware development of a hybrid Photoacoustic and Ultrasound imaging system
Software integration for controlling various components including laser, transducer, data acquisition module, etc.
Graphical user interface (GUI) development.
Develop novel analysis algorithm for photoacoustic imaging reconstruction.
Prepare and review project status reports and ensure timely completion of study objectives.
Communicate with different stakeholders to come up with engineering solutions.
Present study concepts, experimental results, new findings to the management team and the research team members.
Write peer-reviewed papers, technical disclosures, and make slides for internal and external presentations.
**Job requirements**:
PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or relevant fields.
Research experience in development of photoacoustic imaging, microscopy, ultrasound imaging and relevant fields.
Strong hands-on skills in optical system development, handling optical components, image analysis, signal processing and prototyping.
Proficient in Matlab, Python and LabVIEW programming.
Good communication skills, writing skills and presentation skills Industry working experience is preferred.
Need to work closely with industry partners to commercialize in-house developed technologies.
