Roles & Responsibilities

This Plant Technical Leader is a member of the Singapore Plant Technical Team and leads a team of contact engineers. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of initiatives to achieve high performance of production units, and to enhance their capabilities in capacity, quality and HSSE. This role also acts as the plant’s focal point with external functions to drive initiatives on manufacturing. He/She is a key contributor to the plant’s quality management systems and business controls standards.

This Plant Technical Leader is accountable to the Plant Technical Manager.

KEY OUTPUTS: WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM YOU
- Accountable for the overall performance of process units’ performance, through activities includingProvide leadership to engineers in process engineering, troubleshooting and resolution of process and product quality issues
Review and reporting of production unit performance, action plans and capacities per Infineum quality process guidelines
Represent the plant/manufacturing in multi-disciplinary teams working on product/process optimizations, and act as the plant’s focal point for product quality issues and complaints handling
Administer manufacturing excellence programmes and production monitoring software
Steward accurate mass balance of production units
Proactive in ensuring HSSE and Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) compliance
Development & deployment of process engineers
Any other roles and responsibilities assigned

WHAT SKILLS WILL YOU GAIN FROM THIS ROLE?
- This role will develop your leadership and people management skills in leading a team of contact engineers
- This role will hone your technical capability as it encompasses various skills such as risk assessment, troubleshooting, design, project development
- This role also involves working closely with other functions in the company internal and external to the plant, which enables establishing strong networks and broad knowledge of the organization
**A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS LIKELY TO HAVE**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience in process engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience will be an added advantage
- Strong leadership within context of a team to achieve department’s annual goals & objectives
- Ability, innovativeness and flexibility to lead/handle multiple tasks
- Result oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively in interfaces with different functions
- Familiarity with quality and HSSE requirements and practices will be an advantage
