Singapore DORSETT SINGAPORE Full time

Reporting to the Safety & Security Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring that only associates on duty are allowed to enter the hotel premises.
- Ensuring that no hotel property is to be taken out without proper authorization from the relevant Head of Department.
- Conducting parcel search for associates on an alternate day basis.
- Acting as a witness for Finance Department conducting checks on cashier
- Assisting/witness Duty Managers in conducting DND room checks and unlocking of safes in unoccupied guest rooms.
- Ensuring all visitors (especially contractors and suppliers) wear proper shoes upon entering the hotel premises.
- Ensuring all suppliers and their workers are issued with ‘Vendor’ passes before they are allowed to enter the hotel premises.
- Ensuring vehicles coming into the loading/unloading bay area are properly parked so as not to cause any traffic congestion.
- Preventing anybody loitering around the hotel area, ensuring no undesirable characters enter the hotel premises.
- Performing the duty of a prowler on the guest floors.
- Stopping unauthorized person(s) from entering guest rooms or loiter along the corridors of the guest floors. This includes hotel associates other than those authorized to be on the floor.
- Ensuring all guestroom doors are properly locked and secured.
- Ensuring all fire emergency doors and staircase are not obstructed.
- Preventing any form of soliciting by prostitutes or pimps.
- Ensuring vagabonds and all known undesirable characters are to leave the hotel premises.
- Restricting the movement of fast-food vendors/drivers/bodyguards who enter into the hotel lobby.
- Ensuring smooth traffic flow and no vehicle causing obstruction along the driveway
- Preventing any suspicious characters from loitering at the driveway.
- Recording the particulars of vehicles found parked at the driveway with noticeable damage marks such as broken head-lights, signal lights etc.
- Performing any other ad-hoc duties from time to time.

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT**
- GCE 'O' Level or equivalent
- Possess a valid security license (PLRD)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Observant and eye for details
- Preferably prior relevant experience in hotel covering safety and security
- Willing to work shift, weekend and Public Holiday
