Job Responsibilities

This is a specialist role within UOB’s Group Business Continuity Management function. Reporting to the Group Business Continuity Management Head, you will support and facilitate the implementation of the business continuity programme across the Banking Group, enhancing operational resilience and ensuring continuity of essential business operations and services in the event of a crisis.

The incumbent will also be involved in the strategic steering of the business continuity programme and managing business continuity crises and events. You will have full exposure to multiple stakeholders across the Bank including senior management stakeholders. You will support the management and execution of the programme activities, including direct ownership of selected business and support unit functions, and lead efforts in managing BCM systems and tools.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support implementation of end-to-end business continuity programme activities for the GroupFacilitate risk assessment, business impact analysis, business continuity planning and crisis management planningValidate plans via coordination and execution of tests and exercisesStrengthen BCM awareness at all levels by conducting training and workshopsContribute to the steering and maturing of the BCM programme for the GroupProvision, manage and maintain planning tools and operational readiness of recovery facilities, command centres and resources Support crisis management activities, including activation of plans, support BCM Task Force and coordinate business and support units recovery as neededEnsure good governance and manage issues, coordinate reconciliation and resolution actions, and follow through to closureMaintain compliance towards Bank and Regulatory BCM policies, and support Group-wide alignment of BCM practices Support audit requestsJob Requirements

Technical Skills

Recognized university degree Working experience in the financial sector and demonstrated involvement in Business Continuity Management or Crisis Management of at least 1 year; or in project management of at least 2 yearsGeneral comprehension of Banking products, services and technology preferred

Soft Skills

Good communication skillsTakes ownership and leads effort with mínimal or no supervisionMature, confident and assertiveAnalytical, resourceful, creative and self-drivenStrong team player and also an independent contributorProven relationship management and interpersonal skills
