**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**New Product Introduction**
- Lead in reviewing on the new products design, provide constructive feedback to development team from manufacturing to quality perspectives.
- Review product design for manufacturability.
- Develop Process Parameters, Jigs & Fixtures and Process Controls for new products.
- Lead in the Standard Work for the cell, process documentation and trainings for the associates
- Lead in transfer, commission and qualify new products for mass production.

**Existing Product Sustainment**
- Lead in VAVE projects funnel build up, technical feasibility study, supplier selections, prototyping testing, preparation for phase in phase out, sustainment.
- Lead in First Pass Yield (FPY) and Yield Improvements activities.
- Lead in driving External Quality Improvement.
- Cell and Work Station layout with Lean Manufacturing concept.
- Lead in Standard Work (SW) projects to achieve continuous improvement on productivity, output and quality.
- Analyze production issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Create and update sequence plan, define final outgoing inspection plan and conduct re-qualification of new processes whenever necessary.
- Create, update and maintain the accuracy of BOM, Routing and In-House Production Time in SAP system.
- Support engineering in product re-design & process yield improvement / kaizen events.
- Engineering roles and responsibilities in EC and MRB.
- Participate in new parts/vendors qualification and First Article Evaluation.
- Lead in warranty complaints and PDOA failure analysis and implement short term countermeasures and long term solutions.
- Project lead or process owner for the New Product Introduction primarily focus on quality and reliability testing.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Masters or good Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with preferably at least 5 years relevant experience in an R&D and manufacturing environment, focusing on product development.
- ** Good knowledge in manufacturing technologies of metal and plastic materials**:

- Solid machining, CNC milling and CNC lathe
- Extrusion/ forging
- Plastic injection moulding
- Pressure die casting/investment casting/Gravity casting
- Stamping
- Rapid prototyping
- Surface treatment, Spray painting and Anodizing
- ** Good knowledge of Mechanical CAD, 3D modelling**
- Must have Creo
- Geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up calculation
- Simulation and stress analysis
- ** Good understanding of**
- Optical system design
- Precision mechanisms
- project management skills are advantageous
- Value Engineering Value Analysis (VAVE)
- ** Capable in carry out design review for peers and provide counter proposal for improvement**
- Prior working exposure with Design, Process, Sourcing and Quality Functions
- Some Knowledge of FMEA and other Total Quality Management (TQM) tools - ie Kaizen
- Some hands-on experience with data-management system - i.e. PLM system
- Systematic in problem solving approach and creative thinker.
- Language proficiency in English
- Minimal travel.
