Reporting to the RBU V.P., the Business Development Director RBU BLS is responsible with the RBU V.P. to develop and execute the overall strategy for business development and sales for the BLS business in the region. He/she will also ensures that the overall Business Development process is conducted in alignment with the BLS global and regional strategy in the most effective, efficient and professional manner possible in accordance with processes and procedures established for Business Development. He/she will develop and maintain global and regional key account customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- In partnership with the Business Unit V.P., develops and implements the overall strategy for business development and sales for the BLS business in the region
- Lead the business development and sales efforts between the BLS Global Business Unit (GBU) and the RBU to target and win business in line with the Company strategy, financial targets and business goals
- In partnership with GBU and RBU leadership, takes on prime responsibility to develop and grow the
- BLS GBU global key accounts in the region and
- regional BLS accounts
- Project lifecycle customer relationship responsibility - overall ownership and responsibility for all activities from overall account management, customer lead generation and nurturing, client satisfaction, through project close out and follow on customer relationship
- Be the "expert" point of contact and "trusted advisor" for external organizations to explore business opportunities
- Represent the company at local industry functions and other key local BLS networks
- Ensure the company understands and is focused on market drivers and client needs. Leads efforts in researching on market dynamics, cost drivers, business models and client needs
- Proper forecasting and maintenance of sales data (utilizing Salesforce)
- Responsible for all proposals:
- Drive/support key opportunities, through Salesforce &/or Proposal Win Strategies
- Oversee proposals / prequals for quality of presentation, content, key messaging, win strategy
- Support operations, engineering, commercial, estimating, risk, legal, etc... departments in the formulation of proposals
- Frequent regional travel, in addition to, occasional global travel is required
Show your expertise
- 10+ years of experience
- Degree in Engineering, Business or related field required
- Extensive knowledge of the engineering &/or construction market
- Prior experience in the BLS industry
- Strong sales and business development experience with an excellent track record in securing business
- Strong business network in the region
- Past experience in the field of turnkey engineering and construction for major projects
- Commercial acumen / experience
