Reports to the Sr Director Corporate Security and is responsible for managing the global program dedicated to proactively and reactively investigating threats made to Cisco employees, property and events across the globe, as well as other significant Corporate Security priorities. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of all global Corporate Security Threat and Investigation program policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, data privacy and regulatory frameworks in the regions Cisco operates.
- Will create an organizational charter for the Threat and Investigations team; write and produce investigative policies, procedures and standards for Corporate Security investigative and threat programs globally, to include the establishment of standardized Cisco investigative forms; will outline strategic and operational frameworks for Cisco Security Operations teams, to address targeted campaigns to proactively identify threats, to fill investigative gaps across the enterprise and to identify, recruit and retain investigative team members.
- Identify, establish and oversee proactive measures to monitor and assess threats to Cisco personnel, property and events. This includes identifying and utilizing internal and external technological resources and databases to monitor known threats, identify new threats and appropriately investigate those identified persons and/or groups of interest. This will require leveraging of both Corporate Security tools and those resident in other parts of the enterprise, in order to achieve Corporate Security requirements.
- The Senior Manager will actively monitor for and investigate significant threats made against Cisco Executives, in conjunction with the Corporate Security Executive Protection team. The leader will create policy and training for external facing Cisco teams (Investor Relations, Communications, Marketing and Executive Administrators) on how to identify, react and respond to threats received in their official capacities. In addition, the Sr Manager will investigate or delegate serious, potentially criminal matters, maintained as Corporate Security investigative priorities (i.e. thefts from Cisco properties, damage to Cisco property, threats and/or violence directed towards Cisco employees).
- Will provide input and review information and reports on various threats facing Cisco personnel, property and events and top conduct risk assessments for those same groups and priorities. This includes working in conjunction with other Risk, Security and Intelligence groups within the Cisco enterprise.
- Is required to continually evaluate already existing technologies, databases and investigative tools, while identifying new tools to help facilitate and expand the programs efficiency, coverage and ability to proactively identify threats. The leader will design and execute a program to provide Corporate Security proprietary data to other internal investigative groups, as a service function, through technological collaboration or other direct requests. This will also include managing contracts and relationships with external vendors, regular monitoring, oversight and editing of investigative databases and the evaluation of those tools.
- Acts as the leader for and drive the Corporate Security representation within the Cisco Investigations Working Group - a group dedicated to achieving better collaboration across investigative units within Cisco, determining technological solutions to the sharing of investigative data and ensuring robust deconfliction among investigative units across the enterprise.
- Will manage the Corporate Security portion of the Cisco Insider Threat/Risk and Trust program, which will require interaction and collaboration with various Cisco units involved in the investigation of Insider Threats, IP Theft and/or Workplace Civility and Violence. As the driving force behind the collaborative effort to bring Cisco investigative units involved within Insider Threat/Risk together, the leader will be required to take initiative in managing and cultivating the program to break down silos and create a singular, enterprise-wide Insider Threat/Risk program.
- Requires relationship management with internal partners in the Security & Trust Organization, Compliance Investigations, Brand Protection, Workplace Resources, Legal, Government Affairs, Finance, Governance Risk & Control and People and Communities. The position will also require interface with external law enforcement agencies, government officials and private industry counterparts and would benefit from an existing knowledge base of and contacts with those various governmental and non-governmental groups.
