Assistant Manager, Railway

The individual in this position will provide operations & maintenance support to the client project team to facilitate the operations of the system. This support will be focused on maintenance of the railway system for safe and efficient operations. This role requires substantial technical / administrative work.
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Develop intimate knowledge and understanding of rail systems design, materials, equipment, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Maintain railway systems such as RS, Comms, Signal, related equipments.
Observes work operations for compliance with applicable safety regulations.
Perform and prepare field reports of rail maintenance activities.
Provide field and engineering support.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least three (3) years direct experience in the engineering, installation, and commissioning of a heavy rail transit system. Maintenance experience may be considered towards this requirement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Project management / team leadership.
Railway engineering experience
Quality Control.
Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
Capable of reading drawings and schematics.
Training will be provided.
