- We are looking for a Lead Developer to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will manage a team of developers in delivering exceptional e-commerce web experiences and lasting business value for our clients. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in deftly navigating our clients’ technical requirements and translating them into actionable directives, while ensuring successful and timely delivery of project deliverables. As Lead Developer, you will harness your expertise in building client relationships, triaging their technical challenges, improving code quality, and growing our team of developers.

**Responsibilities include**:

- **
Technical Leadership**:Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development. Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the successful translation of design concepts into polished, high-performance e-commerce websites. Perform thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, readability, and alignment with best practices specific to e-commerce development.
- **
Project Management**: Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and clients, to deliver exceptional e-commerce web experiences that align with clients' business goals and technical requirements. Take an active role in project management, working closely with the project manager on a weekly basis to ensure timely progress towards project launch. Proactively triage development requests and prioritise them based on effort and client needs, contributing to the efficient allocation of resources.
- **
Client Management**:Participate actively in the business development process with new clients, working alongside senior developers to scope out and comprehensively understand technical requirements. Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including answering clients' technical queries and advising them on optimal strategies to align project deliverables with their business needs.

**To excel in this role, you should have**:

- Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce web development, with a strong preference for experience within an e-commerce ecosystem such as Shopify.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a minimum of 5 years of front-end development experience
- Proven track record of guiding and mentoring junior developers, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and skill development.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies, tailored to the unique demands of e-commerce projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a track record of adeptly troubleshooting complex technical challenges, particularly within the realm of e-commerce development.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within the e-commerce context.
- A proactive attitude, adaptability to evolving project requirements, and an unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch e-commerce solutions within designated timeframes.
- Experience in delivering complex development projects, including monitoring progress towards launch and effectively prioritizing development tasks based on client requirements and resource allocation.

**Nice to have**: A deep understanding of responsive design principles, UI/UX best practices, and accessibility standards, particularly within the e-commerce landscape.
