**Job Overview**: The Front Desk and Admin role is responsible for providing excellent customer service to students residing in the hostel and assisting with administrative tasks. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for students, handling inquiries, coordinating activities, maintaining records, and ensuring a smooth operation of the hostel.Duties and Responsibilities: Greet and welcome students, visitors, and guests to the hostel. Answer inquiries and provide information about the hostel's facilities, services, and policies. Assist students with check-in, check-out, and room assignments. Handle and resolve complaints or problems in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the front desk. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information, bookings, and payments. Coordinate with other hostel staff to ensure smooth operations, such as housekeeping and maintenance. Manage and distribute mail and packages to students. Assist in coordinating events, activities, and programs for students. Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders when necessary. Monitor the hostel premises and ensure the safety and security of students. Enforce hostel rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment. Respond promptly to emergency situations or incidents and escalate as necessary. Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and management. Update notice boards and digital platforms with relevant information and announcements. Collaborate with other departments and staff members to address student needs and concerns.Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or equivalent Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail. Proficient in using computer systems, including MS Office, MS Excel and database management. Familiarity with hostel operations, safety procedures, and student services is a plus. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
