**1. **Position Summary
The Financial Controller is responsible for the oversight of financial management (accounting, analysis, reporting, consolidation, audit, tax etc) and be a strong business partner to the GM and Senior Management team in providing advice relating to the assets under management and development project in Singapore. You will play a key role in fundraising and negotiation with financial institutions, develop & drive strategic business plans, evaluate and establish tax efficient structures to manage regional investments as well as support in financing/ refinancing activities.

Financial Controller as a Cluster Head for Finance is responsible for the hotel’s accounting and financial management requirements. Managing the accounting department and procurement function. To provide the general manager and Head of Departments with meaningful and timely information on the status of the company’s assets’ performance. To assist proactively with cost containment, revenue enhancement, profit improvement opportunities and safeguarding of the company’s assets.

**2. **Responsibilities**

**Financial Management and Reporting, Treasury, Taxation and Internal Control System**
- Preparation of Statutory Financial and Management Reporting
- Maintain complete and supported accounting records consistent with Uniform Systems of Accounts and International Accounting Standards
- Implement accounting procedures to ensure compliance with local authorities
- Review and approve monthly journals, balance sheet and profit & loss statement, audit schedules and bank reconciliation
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Financial/Cost Management
- Capex Budgeting and Approval
- Payroll Management including casual labour and overtime
- Treasury Management
- Taxation Planning and Reporting include GST review
- Review and Implementation of Internal Control System
- Coordinate with Internal & External Auditor
- Lead in Credit Meeting
- Approving expense
- Bank signatory
- Oversight of corporate finance including but not limited to fundraising and negotiation with financial institutions, develop & drive strategic business plans, evaluate and establish tax efficient structures to manage the investments as well as support in financing/ refinancing activities.

**Administration**
- Safeguard contracts, licenses, insurance policies, legal and financial documents
- Plan staff training and ensure cross training among sections
- Plan staff leave and ensure leaves are cleared without disrupting finance work flow
- Conduct staff performance appraisal half yearly and yearly
- Organize department team bonding

**3. Qualifications**
- Certified Public Accountant with corporate taxation and accounting knowledge
- Conversant with Uniform System Of Accounts and International Accounting Standards

**4. **Experience**
- Experience in hospitality industry is a must
- Able to lead and motivate Finance team
- Meticulous and detailed oriented
