**Key Responsibilities**:
**Vessel Technical Management**:

- Oversee the technical performance, maintenance, and repair of assigned IMO 2 vessels, ensuring smooth operations.
- Ensure vessels comply with all international regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL), Flag State, and Class requirements.
- Work closely with vessel Masters and Chief Engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate technical reports and performance records for each vessel.
- Monitor and optimize Planned Maintenance System (PMS), ensuring regular servicing and updates.
- Conduct regular ship inspections and audits, providing recommendations for improvements.

**Shipyard & Dry-Docking Operations**:

- Plan, coordinate, and execute dry-docking, major repairs, and shipyard projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Prepare dry-dock specifications and work scopes, obtaining competitive quotations from shipyards.
- Supervise shipyard activities to ensure work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
- Conduct post-docking evaluations and ensure vessels are returned to service efficiently.
- Provide technical expertise for hull structure, cargo systems, piping, and machinery repairs in IMO 2 vessels.

**Regulatory & Compliance**:

- Ensure vessels meet ISM, ISPS, MLC, and other industry standards.
- Support and facilitate Class, Flag, and PSC inspections, ensuring compliance.
- Keep updated on new regulations and implement necessary technical modifications onboard.

**Crew & Team Coordination**:

- Provide technical guidance and training to onboard engineers and technical staff.
- Liaise with internal teams (operations, crewing, and procurement) to ensure seamless vessel performance.
- Act as the primary technical contact for assigned vessels.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical management, with expertise in IMO 2 vessels and shipyard operations.
- Strong knowledge of chemical/product tanker systems, cargo operations, and tank coating requirements.
- Proven experience in dry-docking, shipyard repair supervision, and major maintenance projects.
- Familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) and procurement software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to vessels and shipyards as required.

**Preferred**:

- Previous experience as a **Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer**on IMO 2 vessels.
- Strong background in **classification surveys, Flag State audits, and PSC inspections**.
- Familiarity with **risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis**.
