**Your day to day**
Responsibilities include recommending wine varieties to pair with food to guests and to oversee the inventory / organising / ordering for wines and beverages. To be able to support the team in the day to day operations in the Italian Restaurant. Ensure that the team are trained in wine knowledge to develop a culture where all Colleagues are able to guide guests through their dining experience while offering appropriate wine recommendations. Accountable for the overall financial performance of the department together with Restaurant Manager.
- Leads a first-in-class wine program to ensure the Restaurant offers outstanding products and dining experiences to our Guests.
- Maintains the wine list on regular basis with recommendations to Restaurant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage to stay ahead of market offerings and in line with demand.
- Promotes and offers appropriate recommendations on food and wine pairings to guests.
- Prepares and serves wine to guests.
- Delivers Food and Beverage service of high standards and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
- Manage procurement and stock par level procedures to drive cost control.
- Responsible for the inventory and proper storage of wines and beverages.
- Responsible for training on wine and other beverages by conducting wine tastings.
- Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
- Plan and execute team development to foster a nurturing culture for all Colleagues.
- Attends and participates in daily briefings, trainings and other meetings as scheduled
- Grooming is impeccable and in accordance with Hotel’s grooming and presentation standards
- Outlet equipment is clean, polished, sorted and stored
- Working areas are cleaned and re-set quickly

**What we need from you**
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Entrepreneurial spirit; analyses demands to make appropriate recommendations.
- Certificate / Diploma in hotel management or a certified sommelier
- At least 2 years of experience and strong knowledge in wines.
- Working experience in an Italian Restaurant will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Food handler certified by local authorities.
- Keen problem solving skills.
