**Position Description: Database Administrator**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide expertise in troubleshooting issues related to Oracle databases, clusters, and native solutions.
- Perform database and SQL performance tuning, including identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks.
- Execute database upgrades to the latest versions, facilitate migrations to new hardware or cloud environments, and manage non-production database refreshes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and databases services, with experience in cloud computing.
- Utilize tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Automatic Workload Repository (AWR), and Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM) for database performance tuning.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in database backup strategies, including RMAN and Data Pump (expdp).
- Exhibit proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
- Provide operational support, including working on Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle for critical issues.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle environments.
- Extensive experience with Exadata and Oracle versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, table partitioning, and encryption.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot SQL performance issues and propose effective solutions.
- Hands-on experience with database upgrades, migrations, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud computing concepts.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of database backup strategies, including RMAN and Data Pump.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $4,392.77 - $9,914.77 per month
