This is a Team Lead position where it is expected to provide leadership to the team that is assigned with the responsibilities to manage and ensure internship placements (including Work-study Degree Programme or WSDeg Prog) for eligible NTU students.

The team is responsible to ensure that internship opportunities are aligned to NTU’s learning outcome; and students can benefit from the learning experience to become more job ready.

**Responsibilities**:
Programme Operations and Customer Service Management
- Design, develop and provide work-integrated education programmes (whether academic or non-academic) within their respective responsible school programme area in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders; and in accordance to WIE developmental guidelines.
- Second only to the programme team lead to take responsible for all aspects of the internship programmes according to assigned college and/or schools that would involve all internship stakeholders.
- Responsible to help team lead in identifying and to take initiative to monitor and initiate pre-emptive actions to address any potential issues arising from successful placement or completion of internship.
- Together with the team lead to manage end-to-end work-integrated education processes up to completion of the essential assessment process.
- Resolve any internship related issues arising from either students and/or internship employer(s).
- Collaborate and supporting the team lead to identify and to implement continuous improvements.
- Provide first-line consultation and coaching support to students who need help in securing appropriate internship.

Business Development & Stakeholders Management
- Assist in plan development and manages making plans to actions to always looking for new internship opportunities from current and new employers to recruit NTU students for internship.
- Active engagement with current and potential employers (and any relevant stakeholders) to garner relevant internship opportunities.
- Assist in planning and development in collaboration with Team Lead on suitable work-integrated education initiatives with respective schools to reinforce workplace experiential learning; and help in organizing the team to realize the agreed plan.
- Actively support in adopting innovative use of technology or any other relevant resources to enhance experiential learning and customer services experiences.

Team Management
- Supporting the team lead in development and managing the assigned team and its members so that they can perform their assigned roles and responsibilities in the most optimal manner that is possible. At times in the absence of the Team Lead, the Manager shall take over the role(s) of the Team Lead whenever situation should require.
- Together with the Team Lead to manage intra-teams working relationship and cohesiveness to ensure optimal operational performance and delivery for the whole of WIE and CAO.
Provide supportive leadership role to develop and to nurture the team and its members capabilities so that they can perform cohesively as an effective and efficient team.

Strategy Management
- Make active contribution and support from a Manager perspective towards planning, development and maintaining a sustainable work experiential learning ecosystem with suitable internal and external stakeholders to enable NTU students benefitting from their learning experiences during internship.
- Support the Team Lead and participating in whole of WIE planning in developing forward looking plans to take advantages of technology and data/information to enhance WIE capabilities so that more can be done with lesser efforts.
- Constantly explore and contribute towards developing plans to improve chances of NTU students’ conversion from internship to full-time employment.
Provide support and making contribution to the leadership to provide direction and guidance to WIE key drivers either in areas of digital transformation, business intelligence or customers relationship management. Taking an active team management role in workstream teams to help WIE realize the goals of the workstream teams.

**Requirements**:

- At least 4 to 6 years working experiences with exposure in team management role, internship/training management and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies environment.
- Have some prior experiences in managing projects or any initiatives within a team, and/or across different teams in an organization.
- Have some experiences in providing career coaching and/or consultation support would be advantageous.
- Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education highly advantageous.
- A good understanding in the areas of business development, customer services management, business operations and use of data to support decision making.
