**Position Overview**
- The Operations Executive (Boarding Officer/Ship Agent ) is the first point of contact for ships arriving at the port and processes all formalities and declarations to ensure smooth entry and departure of ships assigned while ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements. The ideal incumbent is an organized person who is able to juggle the demands of paperwork and on-site work.**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Coordinate Port Calling Activities- Solve problems arising from ship arrivals and departures.
- Monitor ship arrivals and departures.
- Prepare quotations and proforma disbursements as required by clients, ship-owners and shipping lines.

Manage Cargo Operations and Documentation- Handle cargo documentation, invoices, and inwards shipments.
- Attend at sites to monitor cargo loading and unloading operations.
- Liaise with local agencies on daily work matters.
- Ensure compliance regarding statutory formalities and factual declarations.
- Arrange Hotel accommodation/transportation for the crew.

Service Client Accounts- Liaise with clients on the status of cargo clearance.
- Update clients on ship activities and status of port clearance.

Grow Ship Agency Business- Identify and solicit prospective clients.
- Identify clients' needs and expectations.

**Job Requirement**

**Qualifications**
- ITE NITEC / O Levels or Diploma, preferably in Shipping Operations/Maritime Studies.**Requirements**:

- Relevant experience in the Maritime industry.
- Due to ship schedules, must be able/willing to work after office hours including weekends and public holidays.

**Key Knowledge Areas**
- Functions and roles of shipping in international trade.
- Preparation of berthing, including, the Purpose of ship schedules, Notification of Arrival (NOA), confirmation of arrival, passenger ship, height.
- Process of port clearance.
- Preparations prior to ship's arrival (e.g. types, features, and classification of ships).
- Regulations and requirements relating to ships, International Navigational Limits (e.g InternationalMaritime Organisation (IMO) and government maritime requirements), the importance of maintaining statutory survey records and schedules of ships and certificates and documents of ocean-going ships.
