Formerly known as Bukit Ho Swee Family Service Centre, South Central Community Family Service Centre (SCC) provides support to the low-income and vulnerable families in our community. While giving support to families who seek help in financial, social or relationship issues, we encourage community self-help and cooperation.

**About The Role**:
KeyStart is part of the Family Transformation Program (FTP), a social start up under SCC. We are on a mission to uplift and transition families from the entrapment of poverty. Our end goal is for all families to achieve financial independence, reducing their reliance on government welfare and financial assistance.

We are looking for passionate individuals committed to the cause of enabling socially disadvantaged low-income families and communities realize their aspirations of getting out of the poverty cycle. You will be working in a smaller team of 3 in-charge of running our home ownership support team (KeyStart), within the larger transformation team of 10.

**Responsibilities**:

- Community work to outreach, identify and engage families who can benefit from KeyStart
- Building rapport and closely following-up with families in our programme, including housing case work to support families to overcome their barriers and difficulties in moving towards home ownership
- Advocating with families to key stakeholders including government agencies, or to be supported under our internal KeyStart grants. This includes being knowledgeable about our public housing system and policies, and the determination to find ways to overcome systemic barriers that families face in their home ownership journey.
- Provide support to the KeyStart team to plan and execute the KeyStart programme, including funding administration, managing data, documentation, knowledge building, and working with both internal and external key stakeholders

**Technical Competencies**:

- Diploma or Degree with relevant discipline, preferably social science, economics, or public policy background
- Experience within the local social sector or housing sector and experience in working with low-income families is a bonus
- Able to operate effectively in a dynamic and fluid work environment
- Independent and self-directed worker and learner who is passionate about poverty, inequality, and personal growth
