**BMG** is a global Portfolio Management team that manages GIC’s centralized liquidity pool and the Total Portfolio’s funding and currency hedging requirements. In addition, BMG actively looks at generating value-add from opportunities in the money market and secured funding space. The team is seeking a suitable individual** **who wants to build a thriving career at GIC based in Singapore.** **The individual will be exposed across the full spectrum of BMG’s activities before eventually specializing.

**Responsibilities**
- Help manage GIC’s funding activities involving FX trading, hedging, and investing in money market and fixed income instruments. Develop and implement funding strategies to generate value
- Support dynamic liquidity management to meet the funding needs of the GIC Total Portfolio. Harmonize this with balance sheet optimization considerations to enhance the value of BMG’s AUM
- Share implementation responsibilities for the global EQ and FI financing portfolio in physical and synthetic formats to extract outperformance
- Help to develop and enhance collateral and margin optimization framework and capabilities
- Contribute in projects to develop new capabilities, including technology platform build. Digitalization is a key focus for us
- Build relationships with external parties including agent lenders, banks and other buy-side investors to execute strategies and deepen partnerships

**Requirements**:
BMG is looking for a junior individual to join as an Associate with 1-3 years of experience. Given the hire will be exposed to the full spectrum of the team’s portfolio activities, a variety of experience will be considered, including but not limited to experience in a Treasury or FX related role with a strong understanding of money markets, fixed income and FX instruments, and/or experience in a Securities Finance role, with a strong understanding of prime brokerage products including securities lending and borrowing in physical and synthetic formats. Trading knowledge is a plus.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills, and ability to build relationships with counterparties and source/develop new trade ideas
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to details
- Strong programming skills (particularly Python, SQL, Tableau) and quantitative skills are preferred
- Experience in technology projects that improve business process/outcomes is a plus
- Balance of creativity and discipline as the individual will need to navigate fast-paced opportunities in liquidity management
