Transplant Coordinator

To provide operational and administrative support to the activities of the living donor solid organ transplant and deceased organ donation and assist in the oversight of the tissue and / or stem cell transplant.
**Key accountabilities**:
- Living Donor Organ Transplant - You are to provide pre transplant care for potential recipients, donors and their families such as, attending to referrals, enquiries from local and international sources, provide counselling to those considering living donor organ transplants.
- You are to coordinate and provide pre, peri and post-transplant care for recipients and donors in a timely manner and assist in ad hoc transplant patients’ queries and care arrangement based on critical thinking and communication with relevant stakeholdersYou are to provide seamless coordination for a Transplant Ethics Committee (TEC) meeting and ensure that accurate, prompt and complete reports and documents are obtained from stakeholders for submission to TEC and Ministry of Health (MOH).
- You are to provide prompt notification to the MOH, TEC and hospital staff on the outcome of TEC evaluation and transplant surgery.
- Deceased Organ Donation - You are to work cohesively with the principal doctor, anaesthetist and nurse to meet the pre-conditions of brain death and coordinate the brain death certification by the independent certifiers so that timely case referrals can be made to the National Organ Transplant Unit.
- Tissue Implant
- You shall obtain prompt submission of the monthly tissue implant data from the operating theatres and work closely with the clinics to track and monitor patients outcome
- You shall perform prompt update, validation and audit of the data that are submitted
- Living Donor Organ Transplant Team Meetings
- You shall assist to coordinate the meetings and ensure that it is well organised
- You shall document the meeting minutes accurately and assist to ensure that action items are followed up promptly and identified gaps closed.
- Data Management
- You shall perform prompt and accurate update to the transplant databases
- You shall perform simple analysis and present the data when required
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Degree in Psychology, Life Sciences, Social Work, Nursing or Counseling with at least 1 year of working experience or a diploma in Nursing with at least 2 years of working experience.
**Additional Information**:
- Staff is required to be on call for Deceased Organ Donation
