**The job**

Reporting to the APAC Regional Lead Public Affairs daily basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

- Manage, develop and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders in the government sector, ministries, public sector, regulators, development agencies and key forums relevant to the economics and finance domain in the Asia Pacific Region
- Develops and implements engagement plans for public affairs partners and stakeholders to amplify ACCA’s brand and public profile
- Leads the identification and implementation of opportunities to collaborate, partner and promote ACCA’s thought leadership, products, services and content to key public affairs stakeholders
- Works with the Country/Cluster/Portfolio Head and the wider team to support the delivery of market plans and KPIs through the public affairs agenda
- Ensures that multi-level relationship plans are in place for existing and potential public affairs partners and stakeholders
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, leading initiatives to develop the profession within the market/ cluster/ portfolio
- Leads the development of a network of partners and stakeholders, identifying and communicating insights to help improve ACCA’s approaches and value propositions
- Collaborate with other specialist teams to make high-value connections between partners and strengthen the ACCA ecosystem, e.g. projects with the development agencies
- Acts as a key external ambassador for ACCA, representing the brand and organisation effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Leads the public affairs agenda for the designated area, inspiring and motivating colleagues by role modelling the ACCA behaviours, sharing expertise and best practice and building engagement
- Reports regularly on progress through the appropriate reporting mechanisms on agreed activities, outcomes and measures linked to the balanced scorecard.

**The person**

We’re looking for someone who:

- Experience in the public sector’s customer relationship management, sales or business development from a professional firm, consulting, technology development agency or financial services environment would be beneficial
- Thorough understanding of the government and regulatory processes and stakeholders
- Demonstrable track record in relationship management with government and public sector entities in Mainland South East Asia, Singapore and Oceania
- A reasonable knowledge of the accountancy landscape in the relevant country/ cluster/ portfolio
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term, high quality, trusted relationships with senior public office holders and other stakeholders
- Excellent communicator with excellent presentation skills, both written and oral
- Skilled networker with advanced influencing and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to plan and organise work to meet stretching targets.
