
Sales Director, Asia

**Executive Summary**
This is a strategic sales position who is overall responsible in strategizing, planning, organizing, and directing efforts on all municipal and industrial sales as well as related functions for multiple water and wastewater treatment product lines. The role is critical as the incumbent needs to achieve sales targets across the Asia Region and ensure annual growth in order intake for all product lines.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develops plans to increase market share of all assigned product lines including aftermarket, through communications with all related influencers, decision makers, and end users such as municipal government officials, consulting engineers, engineering firms, industrial and utility companies.
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies in qualifying projects, comparing competitive alternatives, and generating scopes of supply with clients for estimating and design, that will maximize winning probabilities.
- Drives the process for major project pursuit by developing sales strategies in both new equipment and aftermarket with inside sales regional manager and external sales channel network.
- Conducts regular competitive analysis to identify market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Leads and mentors a high-performing sales team to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
- Identifies and develops strategic partnerships to expand market reach and drive sales growth for both new equipment and aftermarket.
- Proactively seeks out new business opportunities and develops innovative sales strategies to capture new markets.
- Utilizes advanced sales techniques and CRM tools to optimize sales processes, manage performance of regional sales team and improve customer engagement.
- Establishes proactive plans for reaching out to current installed base with the objective to grow the aftermarket business across multiple countries in the region.
- Assists with the negotiations of contracts for purchase in coordination with all stakeholders.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key purchasing influences.
- Keeps company management informed of business conditions which may affect assigned products or markets.
- Provides external leadership for the division’s products or markets by actively participating in trade shows, seminars, and industry events.
- Recommends product pricing targets, that ensure profit margins are maximized.
- Develops and implements strategic plans to enter new geographical markets and new market segments.
- Identifies growth opportunities in emerging markets and develops initiatives to capitalize on these opportunities, for both new equipment and aftermarket.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and market trends.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years related experience across all the region or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience in leading regional sales teams that are not co-located in the same country.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in making presentations to C-Suite management.
- Strong and proven business development and sales experience.
- Familiar with principles and practices of water and wastewater treatment. If specifically in filtration, and disinfection it is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have proven strong leadership and motivational skills, specifically as it relates to salespersons and sales teams.
- Sales skills and strong technical sales knowledge are a must.
- Requires overnight travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Must have a proven strong experience in leading an aftermarket team.
- Experience in managing sales teams in China and/ or Japan is a plus.
- Must have experience in developing and implementing proactive aftermarket plans that drive annual growth.
