Our client is a Singapore-born organization with strong business enterprise in the marine fuel logistics industry.
We are assisting them in the search for a Purchasing / Procurement Executive who will the requisitions, quoting of purchase orders and handle the delivery of goods according to the manifest of orders.
The position will need to visit various suppliers and travel across the island to perform inspection and evaluation of parts for purchasing.
Position Responsibilities:
- This position will handle full set of procurement procedures which will include requisitions of quotes, price negotiations, inquiry of orders, make purchasing and monitor delivery of goods ordered.
- Engage with Shipping Department and Ship Superintendents on orders requested and monitor the delivery status and progress.
Position Requirements:
- At least a Diploma holder in Purchasing, Supply Chain or related field.
- At least 2-3-year of working experience in Purchasing function in Maritime / Vessel industry. _**Lesser experience may be considered for Assistant level.**_
- Strong in negotiation, ability to travel to different location for inspection and meet with vendors.
