Our client is a large international investment bank, they have offices around the world. They are now expanding their Singapore team and actively hiring numerous positions. For the legal team, they are looking for an ISDA Master Negotiator and a Structured Product Lawyer, both roles will be based in Singapore.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead negotiations and drafting of ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), and other derivatives documentation with clients, counterparties, and external legal counsel.
- Provide legal advice on derivatives transactions, including structured products, collateral arrangements, and novations.
- Ensure all derivatives documentation complies with relevant regulations, including MAS regulations, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, and other applicable legal frameworks.
- Collaborate with front office, risk, compliance, and operations teams to manage legal risk and ensure transaction documentation aligns with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in derivatives law and regulations, providing timely updates and guidance to the business.
- Support the bank’s negotiations and dispute resolution processes related to derivatives transactions.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, policies, and procedures related to derivatives activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel across jurisdictions.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in derivatives, structured products, or financial markets legal practice, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of ISDA Master Agreements, CSA, and derivatives legal frameworks.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Asia-Pacific, and globally related to derivatives trading.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Professional demeanor with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
