**[What the role is]**

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Production and Post Production in the School of Film & Media Studies

**[What you will be working on]**

**A full-time teaching position responsible for delivering high-quality education in production and post-production modules to diploma students and adult learners.**

**T**eaching and Development**
- Develop and deliver curriculum for production and post-production across diploma and adult learning courses
- Guide students in professional video production workflows and techniques
- Lead practical training in camera operations, lighting
- Teach industry-standard post-production software and workflows
- Supervise student productions from pre-production through delivery
- Coordinate with industry partners for real-world project opportunities
- Develop industry-relevant assessments and contribute to curriculum development
- Mentor students in both technical and creative aspects of production
- Teach both full-time students and working professionals (flexible hours when required)
- Support in student development and pastoral care
- Academic Admin and committee work which supports the activities in a functional committee assigned by the School, such as timetabling, academic quality, student development, facilities management, overseas programme etc.

**Industry Integration**
- Maintain strong connections with industry partners across digital media sectors
- Organise industry visits and guest speaker sessions
- Facilitate industry projects and collaborations
- Keep curriculum updated with emerging trends and technologies

**[What we are looking for]**

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience

OR
- Diploma in relevant field
- Minimum 8 years of substantial industry experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating professional work
- Industry recognition (awards, notable projects, or industry certifications)

**Skills, Knowledge and Attributes**
- Professional camera systems (Sony, RED, ARRI)
- Lighting design and techniques
- Post-production software (Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve)
- Colour grading and finishing
- Single and Multi-camera productions
- Live streaming and broadcast
- Project management
- Production budgeting
- Technical documentation
- Knowledge of current industry standards and emerging technologies
- Experience with both studio and location productions
- Strong understanding of media workflows and file management
- Proficiency in both Windows and Mac operating systems
- Strong industry networks
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
