Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Power Electronics Capabilities
- Strong technical knowledge of gate driver design, controller design, magnetic components and layout of power converter system
- Lead development activities for commercial high-power and high-voltage power electronics converters for electric drives, power supplies and power conditioners
- Maintain a good understanding of industrial standards (land-based, aerospace & marine) of electrical system
- Demonstrated experience and skills in establishing and managing relationships with external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelors degree with minimum 10 year’s experience in research and development.
- High competency in power electronics design from scratch to production or a related discipline (demonstrating well-grounded capability in research design for qualitative and quantitative research)
- Extensive research experience in energy, power electronics including prototype development, high voltage infrastructure and simulation and emulation setup.
- Deep knowledge in switch mode power supply design including electromagnetics design and construction, EMI/EMC, pcb layout, conformance to LV directives and other safety requirements
- Design capabilities for kilowatt power supply with exposure of up to 15kW power supply with N+1 configuration.
- Well exposed in different SMPS topologies like buck, boost, Full/half bridge, LLC, PFC including inverter design and bidirectional capabilities
