The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

The laboratory of Christiane Ruedl at the School of Biological Sciences is seeking a Research Engineer II to contribute to a project focused on the characterization of endosomal membrane dynamics.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform experiments, document results, analyze data, and carry out an independent research project.
- Assist in purchasing equipment, materials, and consumables, and provide general support for the lab.
- Keep a log of lab materials as necessary (e.g. yeast cell strains, plasmid DNAs, proteins, and other essential reagents).

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of prior research experience or laboratory training.
- Prior knowledge in yeast genetics, biochemistry, and cell biology is preferred.
- Experience in yeast cell biology, protein purification, molecular biology, biochemistry, or light microscopy will be addition an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is essential for data analysis.
