Commodity risk is emerging as a critical differentiator of business performance, driven by key trends including commodity price volatility and an increase in the complexity of commodity markets. This price volatility and market complexity is the “new normal” and has major implications for business performance.

In this role, you will drive competitive advantage for Frieslandcampina by building and implementing commodity risk management capabilities in order to mitigate risk and bring value while implementing responsible sourcing.

**What we ask
- Bachelor / Master in, International Business, Risk Management, Finance and Economics, Business Administration or other relevant studies.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in commodities hedging, trading and procurement within the Food & Beverage industry
- Deep knowledge in commodity and financial markets (fundamental and technical)
- Solid understanding of business complexity within commercial functions and/or supply chain, and knowledge of relevant markets
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and decision-making skills and with strong people management and interpersonal capabilities
- Highly analytical and able to structure, organize and prioritize workloads
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex matter in an easy and enthusiastic way to business stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of commodity and financial markets tooling (Reuters, Bloomberg and other financial tools)

**Vacancy description**
- Develop and implement global procurement sourcing strategy including elements of: Top line/Business Sustainable Growth, Bottom line/Value Savings, Working Capital, Contingency, Sustainability and Safety
- Budget price trend forecasting and impact of market volatility to P&L and bottom line
- Track and report procurement sourcing KPI’s for commodities team
- Collaborate with Business Procurement and stakeholder across the company
- Drive Sustainability agendas for the category including participating in work groups, NGO engagement and improving supply chain traceability ensuring alignment with FC overall sustainability plan
- Connect to key market data resources and category networks
- Be responsible for key market insights and analysis for business decision making
- Drive continuous improvement in the commodity procurement process

**Team details**

Our team will be engaged in formulation, implementation and monitoring of the global category management. The manager must ensure that the procurement sourcing strategies is in line with FrieslandCampina’s global business needs and sustainability standards. This is done by ensuring lowest possible total cost, bringing the outside in, optimizing cash flow, supplier management while driving to be the front of the pack in sourcing responsibly and sustainability.

The role is based in Singapore and will report to the Manager (Lead) of Category Procurement, Commodities.
