Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF) is the official association for the têxtile and fashion industry in Singapore and plays an active role in the development of the industry. Working closely with the Singapore government, TaFF is working to position Singapore as an innovative fashion hub in SEA with focus on Technology & Innovation, Sustainability and Asian Craftsmanship.

TaFF champions programmes that build capabilities, expand Singapore’s fashion and têxtile businesses internationally, and promote environmentally friendly business practices.

TaFF is the operator for Design Orchard Retail Showcase and The Cocoon Space.

**Career Opportunity**:
TaFF is looking for a dynamic, resourceful and enthusiastic Event Manager to join its Marketing Team to oversee the strategy and planning of all TaFF meetings and events. You will be responsible for the overall management of events and ensuring smooth running of events from conception to completion according to the requirements, target audience and objectives.

**The Role**:
You will work closely with the team and various stakeholders to ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints whilst looking into creating an impact to the target audience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce detailed proposals for events including timelines, venues, vendors, legal obligations, staffing, budgets, etc for management’s review and approval;
- Source, negotiate and hire of vendors and suppliers;
- Work closely with Marketing team and stakeholders to plan and create marketing materials for all events;
- Liaise with partners and designers to create a brand for the event and organize the production of necessary event supplies such as tickets, conference packs, brochures, posters, etc.
- Manage and coordinate all event operations event logistics, venue, catering, suppliers, travel, speakers, volunteers etc. on the day of event;
- Oversee to ensure efficient dismantling and removal of the venue setup after the event;
- Carry out event post-mortem to analyze event success; prepare and submit relevant reports
- Research opportunities for new clients and vendors

**Prerequisites**:
The ideal incumbent should possess a tertiary qualification with at least 4 years of proven records of being an event manager. Other prerequisites and preferred attributes include:

- Skilled in project management
- Outstanding communication, negotiation ability and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management
- Eye for details and ability to multitask and act quickly
- Excellent planning, organizational and execution skills
- Team player with leadership skills
- Computer savvy, proficient with MS and Google programs
