Senior Director, Global Finance Operations

**About the role - you will**:

- Serve as Finance Business Partner to the Operations Manufacturing Leadership Team, Commodity Ops Management team and the Procurement Leadership Team
- Collaborate with the Operations Manufacturing Leadership Team and the Drive, HSA, Media, and Wafer Operations management teams to control and manage spending, scrap and CAPEX to meet Seagate's financial goals and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Leadership Team to control and improve the Bill Of Material costs to meet the Seagate Financial goal and guideline
- Assist and Support the Procurement Leadership in the contractualization process with the Suppliers
- Evaluate make/buy opportunities, assessing the respective ROI in collaboration with the Operations and Procurement Leadership Teams
- Coordinate the preparation of the COGS budget projections timely and accurately for each cycle, designing process improvements to enable a material reduction of the cycle time
- Support Thailand, China, US and UK Country managers for all related issues for operations such as BOI (Board of Investment), EDB (Enterprise Development Board), Tax Bureau, Banks, Custom department, SAFE (State Administration of Foreign Exchange), Social Insurance Bureau
- Coordinate the implementation of new reporting and automation based on SAP ERP, leveraging AI
- Authorize policies and implementation. Design and propose workable solutions to resolve highly complex cross-functional problems. Provide direction to Snr Management in various areas, groups, and/or operations.
- Resolve issues during crisis, anticipate long-term risk, and provide counter-measures and mitigations
- Participate as finance representative in highly complex cross-functional projects and calculate ROI

**About you**:

- Finance Business partner to various Operations VPs, be able to guide and support Ops VP achieve Seagate Financial goals
- Support to continue driving for Functional Excellence in various areas, HC efficiency, Occupancy efficiency, and Ops/packaging efficiency
- Lead a geographically dispersed team across Thailand, China, US and UK; provide guidance and develop the workforce
- Interact with staff, peers, supervisors, operation business partners, and executives about significant issues, projects, and strategic planning activities
- Proactively seek out relevant new information from operation business partners to stay on top of the latest news about the operation
- Provide objective opinion and financial guidance to business partners to facilitate decision-making.

**Your experience includes**:

- Influence skills, regularly interacting with executives, and building good work relationships with Ops VPs, peers, and staff can influence both business partners and others
- In-depth knowledge of HDD Manufacturing Operations is preferential, experience in high-tech manufacturing is desirable, ability to work on complex issues and rapidly evolving environment
- Rich experience in Operational Finance, including challenging situation - New site start-up, Consignment model setup with Contract Manufacturers, Footprint consolidation/factory migrations, Support factories during pandemic-affected situation (COVID-like)
- ROI analysis to support critical business decision-making

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations.
