The Group Financial Reporting Assistant sits within HARPS Investment Asia Pte Ltd, reporting to the Senior Manager for Financial Reporting.

Based in Singapore, the roles and responsibilites of this position includes but are not limited to the following:
**Internal reporting**:

- Assist in Group Consolidation of entities across the region for preparing actual Group monthly results. Familiarity with group consolidation processes is required, including posting consolidation adjustments entries.
- Perform reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions at Group level.
- Monthly analysis and variance explanations for reporting of Group financial results.
- Ability to prepare Board Papers for quarterly and ad-hoc Board Meetings.
- Liaise with subsidiary companies, internal teams, and external parties to ensure timely and quality preparation of Group management and Board reports.
- Liaise with lenders to provide quarterly/half-yearly certificates for bank covenants purpose.

**Financial Reporting & Analysis (Including budgeting & forecasting)**:

- Prepare analytical reports and insights to assess the impact of changes on business operations.
- Engage with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and offer suitable recommendations.
- Coordinate and prepare the Group's annual budget and monthly forecasting.
- Coordinate and prepare the Group’s monthly cash flow liquidity planning.

**External audit**:

- Assist the manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the annual external financial audit process for the Group and to ensure timely issue resolution and audit completion.
- Draft statutory financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries, including reviewing subsidiary companies’ statutory accounts to meet regulatory requirements.

**Project(s)**:

- Participate in support on Group Financial Reporting system, including implementation and providing feedback for process improvement.

Any other ad hoc duties as may be assigned

**Pre-requisities**
- Proven experience in financial and variance analysis, or related fields.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and collaborate within a team.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organized and methodical in work approach is essential. Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and on time.
- Skeptical mindset, self-motivated, reliable, responsible, pro-active and professional.

**Good to have**:

- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Prior experience in Big 4/Top 10 accounting firm focusing on external audit will be a bonus.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Consolidation systems, such as SAP or OneStream, would be advantageous.
