**Creative Director**

We are looking for an experienced and visionary creative leader to be a part of our in-house APAC Creative Team for one of the largest video-sharing platforms.

The team leads creative conceptualisation and development for the brand and all its products. We are a team of writers, art directors, designers, strategists, producers, editors, animators, illustrators and sound designers that work alongside business leads and operations teams to make killer work for the brand. We are not an internal agency with marketing clients, we are part of marketing and, as such, we have a seat at the table (or a square in a Meet window). We work closely with our client’s marketing and product teams to find innovative and breakthrough creative solutions. Our goal is simple, to make work that is impossible to ignore.

You must demonstrate a strong track record of developing and managing teams of creatives, partnering closely with brand marketing professionals, and overseeing all aspects of the creative process from start to finish. You must be comfortable guiding a team through the process of translating research, company goals, and high-level strategic direction into inspiring and successful creative solutions. You need to be confident in exploring the world of creativity today, a master of memes, a lover of the latest cultural phenoms, someone who wants to challenge the status quo, and invent whole new ways of thinking, working and making.

You'll be entrusted with the brand and expected to push it forward. Our mandate is to create an unprecedented stream of culture-defining brand work to celebrate the most diverse creative community on the planet. You will build a challenging, enriching, respectful, and fun environment for a team of talented creatives.

You are a creative generalist, but with particular strength in design/art direction, that believes in an end-to-end consumer journey and that creative quality and consistency across all touch-points are critical to build a strong consistent brand voice and cohesive customer experience - from on-platform content to product marketing to social media and advertising.

Role:

- Directly manage and lead a team of creatives across graphic design, copywriting, photography, motion/film, experiential, editorial and interactive disciplines.
- Develop annual and quarterly goals and strategic plans for the team. Implement necessary processes and resources to achieve goals.
- Partner with the Head of Creative on the client’s end to ensure the brand’s creative vision is consistent with their broader company vision and initiatives. Ensure that all client’s creative work is supported and inspired.
- Partner with Strategy Lead, Operations Lead and Exec Producers to guide operations of the team, including planning, recruiting, and resourcing.
- Create a blueprint for the team’s continued regional growth and recruit the best creatives and contract collaborators.
- Foster a respectful and collaborative environment. Mentor discipline leads on the team, ensuring alignment on all projects and both team and individual goals.

You:

- 15+ years of experience, including 5 years as Creative Director managing a mid to large team, preferably a mix of creative studio or agency experience and/or leading in-house teams at global brands.
- Portfolio that highlights original breakthrough thinking and ideas
- Finger on the pulse of pop culture and the Gen Z audience
- Excellent management skills. Experience inspiring creative teams with a strong vision and empowering individuals to achieve their best work.
- Experience collaborating closely with Brand Management / Marketing teams. Ability to translate market research, data, and strategy to creative solutions.
- A strong design process and experience working toward solutions across various media.
- Flexibility and dependability.
- Incredible organisation, communication, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.
- Empathy for the users, and empathy for individuals on a creative team.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentations skills and - ideally - fluent in another Asian language to cover projects spanning across JAPAC.
