**Role: Software Developer - Order Gateway**

**Main Function**

The Order Gateway team designs, builds and maintains infrastructure which connects the firm to global markets at a high speed. We write and maintain the order gateways used for all Squarepoint order flow, as well as maintain responsibility for production gateways during live trading. We constantly improve our platform to increase performance and stability. We collaborate closely with other teams to provide products aligned with business priorities and goals. Quality control, testing and monitoring are central to the development of each of our products.

**You will**:

- Work closely with stakeholders and team members to define requirements, iterate quickly and deliver functionality with precision and correctness.
- Design and implement improvements to the software platform.
- Automate away tasks.
- Assume strong ownership of projects throughout their full engineering lifecycle.
- Ensure testing is a central part of the development process.
- Provide level 2 support for critical trading infrastructure.

**Must have qualifications**:

- Experience of exchange order gateway protocols.
- 3+ years’ C/C++ Linux based development experience.
- Excellent communication skills.

**Nice to have qualifications**:

- Proficiency in Python.
