Senior Infrastructure Program Manager

**About this role**:
As the Senior Infrastructure Program Manager at ExpressVPN, you will oversee global engineering projects, actively designing and building a modernized approach to handling and optimizing our global network traffic and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include maintaining a broad perspective while addressing daily engineering challenges, leading complex projects involving multiple disciplines, and leveraging your expertise. Collaboration with internal customers to establish project requirements and guiding projects through each phase, including scheduling and risk identification, are essential aspects of your role. Your ability to communicate team analyses to executives and engage in technical discussions with engineers will be valuable.

With your technical knowledge and leadership skills, you will drive projects of varying scopes, identifying future opportunities and influencing program direction. This role is instrumental in implementing our new network and infrastructure, working alongside talented software engineering teams, and contributing to decision-making processes.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Manage the delivery of large-scale network infrastructure projects from inception through delivery, while leading cross-functional teams and ensuring stakeholders are aware of project status.
- Partner with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, System Engineers, and other Program Managers to support the delivery of your projects.
- Delivering multiple projects simultaneously, including: defining requirements and timelines; developing and executing detailed plans; tracking and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget; and providing reporting when needed.
- Developing effective communication strategies to coordinate between various teams while keeping cross-functional stakeholders and leaders informed on progress, challenges, and risks.
- Working closely with stakeholders and leaders to ensure we tackle the highest priority work that delivers the most significant value to the business.
- Leveraging your high-level overview to proactively mitigate risks and resolve blockers as soon as they're flagged. You'll need to keep the team moving while adapting to any changes that arise.
- Producing crystal clear documentation such as plans, briefings, timelines, processes, stakeholder comms, or meeting notes.
- Understanding different business processes and driving optimizations and improvements through a combination of process re-engineering and technological changes..
- Getting a set of cross functional stakeholders/team members to agree on deliverables /objectives/ definition of done.

**Role Requirements**:
To succeed in this role, we'd love for you to have some or most of the following skills or experience:

- Experience within the IT / Infrastructure / Networking / Operational Technology / Data Center arena.
- Preferably Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional certification (CCNP) or other certifications in network technologies.
- Experience with management of 3rd party suppliers for services, software and infrastructure.
- Experience in managing global large-scale programs and portfolio/program delivery.
- Working knowledge and experience in:

- Agile Project management methodologies (e.g Kanban)
- Agile Project management tools (e.g Jira/Confluence)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English—you will need to communicate to all levels across the business (and geographies)
- You can clearly define requirements and convey them in work tickets and briefs
- Comfortable driving delivery from a team with both remote and in-office team members
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with stakeholders of all seniorities
- A drive to initiate and lead improvements to positively impact productivity, ease of use, security, execution speed, human time spent, and more
