- **Procurement Coordination**: Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of materials, spare parts, and equipment required for marine operations. This includes preparing purchase orders, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- **Logistics Management**: Oversee the planning and coordination of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently and delivered on time. This involves liaising with transport companies, arranging shipping schedules, and handling customs documentation if necessary.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of received goods, ensuring that they meet company standards and specifications. Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to suppliers and manage returns or replacements.
- **Record Keeping and Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, including inventory reports, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for audits.
- **Cost Control and Budgeting**: Monitor and manage the store’s operational costs, including freight charges, storage fees, and procurement expenses. Assist in budget preparation and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- **Team Supervision**: Supervise and guide store personnel, including warehouse workers and logistics staff. Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure that all staff adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- **Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance**: Ensure that all store and logistics operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement safety measures to protect employees and goods, and conduct regular safety audits.
- **Supplier Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure reliable and efficient supply chain operations. Handle supplier performance evaluations and resolve any disputes or issues.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the store and logistics functions. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory management.
