**Position Purpose**:

**Responsibilities:
**Trading**:

- Develop physical trades leveraging the dynamics of the physical and futures thermal coal;
- Build the Non-Indonesia thermal coal origination business for JITPL;
- Ensure trades and positions accuracy in relevant trading systems;
- Draft business proposals/contracts and work with Legal and Compliance on commercial terms;
- Collaborate with Trade Operations Team on daily operations related matters such as LC, LOI, etc.
- Engage in external stakeholder interactions and manage counterparties in the respective markets;
- Conduct overseas visits for business discussions and negotiations;
- Support colleagues outside the assigned tasks to enhance the total value/ trading portfolio;
- Work closely with relevant departments on Market Risk and Credit for internal control requirements.

**Market Intelligence and Reporting**:

- Research and analyse industry developments and trends using various publications and resources;
- Regularly report and share information with relevant parties within the company;
- Create reports as required by the Director on an ad-hoc basis;
- Understand accounting requirements relevant to transactions.

**Compliance**:

- Ensure all activities comply with company guidelines, policies, and relevant laws and taxes;
- Trade within the designated business framework and assigned trading limits;
- Prepare supporting documents for internal control;
- Prepare Security Trade Control documents and ensure compliance;
- Coordinate with Finance and Accounting for correct accounting treatments.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 8 - 10 years of working experience in the area of trading thermal coal in the origins and markets specified with a good track record of handling at least 2 Million MT annually.
- Established industry network in terms of both buyers and sellers.
- Knowledge in at least Thermal Coal and in addition Iron Ore and Ferrous Scrap as commodities and its value/ supply chain.
- Understanding of Business Operations, Structured trading, L/C, Security trade Control, Internal Control, and International Trade Compliance regulations.
- Comprehensive understanding of the macro
- economic, cultural, and political environment surrounding the products involved.
- Knowledge of paper markets, hedging, book positions management, and traded markets.
- Ability to draw analysis and make sound commercial decisions.
- Good people management and interpersonal skills with persuasive negotiation skills.
