Music Director

**Job Description & Requirements**:

- Implement the core music curriculum for the school. This also involves providing music enrichment programme for the children, a compulsory being piano.
- You are to develop the LeClare enrichment department as a director, providing a variety of enrichment programmes for the public such as piano, vocal, ukulele, and music and movement. As a director, you are also involved in costing and marketing efforts of the programmes and ensure sign-ups. You are also involved in HR efforts if we were to expand the enrichment Team and if we do not have sufficient sign-ups, you are to teach the class until there is funding to expand and hire. If Covid persists, we will be looking at providing online classes for the public.
- You are also involved in developing training courses for the early childhood teachers. These courses can be WSQ or non-WSQ. We will work together to develop materials to implement training for our internal Team, and in time to come, be ready to market our training course to the public so we could train the teachers from other schools. If covid persists, this training should be planned to be conducted virtually.
- You should be the driver of the enrichment programmes and training courses and ensure sufficient earnings for business sustainability of the department.

LeClare Babies and Preschool
- Your priority is to align your personal beliefs with the vision and mission of LeClare Preschool. _With that belief in mind, you shall, in an independent or collaboratively manner,
- Carry out duties in order to provide care, safety and love for the children in the centre
- Design or upgrade existing programme content, especially with the curriculum specialists
- Prepare and document weekly and termly lesson plans, and checklists
- Implement programme content
- Document children’s development in a professional manner, ensure their continuous development and share with parents the children’s developmental needs and achievements. A regular event is the biannual Parent Teacher Conference where you are expected to showcase or share.
- Design and organise LeClare’s environment for musical development of the children and staff
- If Covid or other diseases persists, you are to be prepared to teach music virtually and to strive to excel
- Attend continuous professional development (training)
- Choreograph our school concert showcases and celebrations, where you are also in charge of the audio and light technical operation side. Our year end annual concert is a mandatory every year. If Covid persists, this concert will be shoot digitally and be hosted virtually
- Attend to any other ad-hoc duties

Enrichment (Internally and Public)
- Manage and develop internal music enrichment for LeClare Preschool with piano lessons as a compulsory, preparing them for exam grading when they are ready
- Assist students/ children to pass music examinations by using innovative methods to motivate learning in music and to practise regularly to excel in the examination
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the music studio and turnover the space for Preschool operations after the weekend when enrichment was conducted.
- You are to retain enrolled students as much as you can, with a higher retention rate as your key performance target.
- Be prepared to move classes to virtual set up if Covid or other diseases persists and to accept it as the norm.

Training (Internally and Public)
- Support LeClare teachers through consultations and workshops so they can inherit your musical talent for the development of the children
- Prepare profession material to develop music training courses which can be WSQ or non-WSQ, and the necessary resources to implement the course which can be with the internal LeClare Team or with other schools

Marketing and Business Development
- Drive branding and marketing in the aspect of music for LeClare Educational as an Enrichment and Training brand
- Be in charge of marketing costing and ensure business sustainability such as teaching the enrichment classes yourself first before we have enough sign-ups to expand the Team
