Minimum qualifications:

- 12 years of experience in Finance/Accounting systems or tools implementations, program management, or product management
- Experience with systems, accounting, operations, tax, internal controls, requirements documentation, testing, and validation
- Experience in developing requirements and managing implementation of Finance/Accounting or Payments systems

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in driving goals, strategy, and roadmaps for Finance system features
- Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and ability to manage complex, highly ambiguous, large-scale programs while autonomously driving and prioritizing multiple initiatives alongside Finance, Product, and Engineering teams
- Ability to manage complex escalations in a timely way, effectively balancing business and technical risks
- Ability to present to multiple teams on organized problem-solving and solution-implementation frameworks, and present complex technical information in a clear concise manner- Excellent verbal/written communication skills- Desire to bring order to chaos, and walk multiple teams through organized problem-solving and solution-implementation frameworks

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

Our mission as the Payments Controllership team is to support Google Payments in their internationalization and expansion efforts, and in the enhancement of the Google Payments Platform. We partner with multiple cross-functional teams to establish financial reporting, accounting, governance, and operations processes to enable growth globally.

In this role, you will focus on emerging and new Payments initiatives and their operationalization needs for financial reporting. You’ll collaborate with our global team and pitch in when needed, while acting as that key link between global and APAC stakeholders. You will move fast to advise on the accounting implications and operational excellence for Controllership and Payment initiatives. You'll also have the opportunity to create a governance structure to intake, evaluate, and prioritize the highest priority requests across the Finance organization, while also evaluating progress of key initiatives and helping to remove roadblocks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop a deep understanding of Google’s Payments Platform (GPP), Google’s internal system that powers business for Google’s products, and capabilities to support Finance processes.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders to determine Business/Finance needs, identify platform gaps, evaluate implementation feasibility for Platform features, and assess impact/risk profile/priority.
- Develop programs and roadmaps for new system capabilities for Finance, based on data/insights. Guide stakeholders and the Finance leadership team, to align and prioritize such capabilities while managing and executing project plans.
- Manage and report on a portfolio of Google’s Payments Platform (GPP) capabilities impacting Finance processes and associated value drivers/metrics.
- Lead stakeholders in the creation, prioritization, and rationalization of platform requirements for Finance features, and be the representative of Finance in Engineering planning for core Payments Platform capabilities.
