**Role**
Develop and create an infrastructure strategy that matches with the University’s educational and operational aims under the guidance of the Director of IT.
Manage day-to-day operations to ensure network system availability, including the use of appropriate monitoring systems to prevent or promptly address any network issues.
Ascertain that the infrastructure team is minimizing, monitoring, and managing risks associated to infrastructure.
Continually strive to improve infrastructure and support operations using reliable performance measurements.
Implement and maintain a rigorous change management approach to ensure network and associated system reliability.
Lead IT asset management to ensure assets realize their maximum lifespan value.
Lead the university’s information and data security policies on a strategic and operational level, interacting closely with the university’s appointed Data Protection Officer and related staff.
In conjunction with university administration, provide leadership in the formulation, implementation, and operation of a university-wide information security program that is aligned with university priorities.
**Responsibility**
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Information Infrastructure Library (IIL) certification is required (ITIL)
Other professional credentials applicable to specific technology
At least 10 years of relevant expertise in network infrastructure design, implementation, lifecycle management, and operations in a SME or similar, with numerous locations, including managing teams.
