
Deputy Director, Talent Management

Reporting to the Director (Talent Management), you will be leading the team that supports talent management for the University and be responsible for shaping and implementing key talent strategies that will attract, develop and retain NTU’s leadership pipeline.
Through this role, you will have opportunities to take on a holistic suite of talent management functions, including talent selection and assessment; formulation and execution of key development programmes and interventions to develop a group of selected officers; as well as engaging and providing career guidance and pathing options to these officers. You will also be involved in engaging senior stakeholders to build and strategise succession plans for key leadership appointments in NTU.
**Responsibilities**:
You will lead your team to work on the following:
- Partner senior business and HR leaders in the design and execution of talent strategy, policies and frameworks, assess current and future talent development needs to build leadership bench strength- Curate and implement programmes under the Talent Management programmes with the objective of talent attraction, talent selection, developing and retaining high performers and high potentials- Review, develop and deliver key Talent Management programmes for our talent pool, including but not limited to the following programmes:
1. Management Associate Programme - a 2-year programme aimed at building a pipeline of young talents
2. Leadership Development Programme - a 8 to 12-month programme aimed at equipping leaders to take on higher and broader roles and responsibilities. Propose, launch and improve activities/events for other existing members of the Leadership Development Programme who have already successfully completed the programme (ie Alumni)- Administer the programmes from talent selection, identification to engagement as well as end-to-end planning and execution of the various activities/events scheduled throughout the entire programme period.- Act as the strategic talent partner to track, develop and execute the career progression and development plans of selected officers so as to groom our leadership pipeline. These may include working with other HR teams to facilitate attachments/secondment to public and private sector companies, identifying suitable stretch appointments, projects and milestone programmes to optimise leadership exposure and development- Prepare, facilitate and execute succession plans for key positions.
**Requirements**:
- Degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or relevant field with minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in Human Resources function.- Relevant working experience in talent management- Strong in execution and has held leadership role(s) at team level- A proven people manager who is able to motivate and develop the team- Strong communication skills and is adept at building relationships and stakeholder management- Detail-oriented, proactive and strong analytical thinking
