**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a Discovery Biology lead to advance drug targets in Inflammation and Immunology (I&I).
- Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams to drive the identification and validation of novel therapeutic targets, using in vitro and in vivo models.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot technical challenges, and make data-driven decisions to advance drug discovery projects.
- Stay abreast of scientific literature, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform on project strategy.
- Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, project updates, scientific reports, and laboratory SOPs.
- Analyze and document experimental data in an electronic laboratory notebook in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with the company’s quality management system.
- Mentor and inspire team members at all levels.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- PhD in Immunology or a related scientific discipline.
- 7-10 years of relevant laboratory research experience, with at least 2-3 years of industry experience.
- Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry techniques, assay development and target validation methodologies.
- Experience with in vivo models of disease and other human/disease-relevant preclinical models.
- Strong understanding of drug discovery principles.
- Working knowledge of one or more drug modalities, such as small molecules, biologics or RNA-based therapeutics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for translating scientific innovation into therapeutic opportunities.
- Team player with a positive, proactive, can-do attitude.
