**Description**

**What You Will Do In Your Role**:
**Koch Engineered Solutions (Koch-Glitsch business unit) is searching for a Phase Separation Process & Proposal Engineer to join their team in Singapore. This role will primarily support projects in North Asia, South-East Asia, and Oceania, but might occasionally also involve projects in the Middle East.**

As a member of the Process Group, the Phase Separation Process & Proposal Engineer will work on new and retrofit phase separation (mist elimination & liquid-liquid separation) projects. He/She will be responsible for developing appropriate technical and commercial solutions that meet customer's requirements. This work will be supervised by the Product Leader (also based in Singapore) and done in collaboration with the Sales Area Managers.

The proposal process involves several steps including evaluating the process, selecting a product or solution based on hydraulic calculations, estimating costs, performing a mechanical evaluation, drafting & submitting a quotation, making any necessary revisions, and providing technical and commercial clarifications until the order is placed. Additional communication with the detailed engineering team may be necessary after an order is placed. Customer facing activities include technical project-related meetings, and participation in business development activities (together with the Sales Area Managers).

**Office-Bound Tasks related to the Role**:

- Reviewing customer material requisitions and specifications.
- Selecting and pre-designing equipment, and conducting hydraulic calculations/simulations.
- Cost estimation.
- Quotation development.
- Participating in technical clarifications, including final negotiations and relevant meetings with customers as needed.
- Revisions / updates of quotations.

**Customer-Facing Tasks related to the Role**:

- Meetings with customers in the APAC region to discuss technical aspects of projects.
- Assist the Sales Area Managers in expanding the market share of phase separation equipment in the region. This may involve giving presentations to customers and participating in trade shows.

**The Experience You Will Bring**:
**Requirements**:

- University degree in a related field (preferably chemical or mechanical engineering), and 2-4 years of work experience.
- Previous experience working with Phase Separation Technology equipment.
- A creative and out-of-the-box thinking mind, essential when working on retrofit projects.
- Organization skills and ability for multitasking in a fast-paced work environment.
- Maturity, pragmatism, self-sufficiency, and high team spirit are essential qualities to succeed in this fast moving, dynamic environment.
- Prepared to travel within the APAC region (up to 25%).
- Experience with basic CAD modeling (AutoCAD or Inventor).
- Customer focus and ability to build relationships with customers.

**What Will Put You Ahead**:

- Experience in similar roles with EPCs or other equipment suppliers.
- Capabilities on cost definition development.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Pharmaceutical, etc., fields.
- Process simulation capabilities (e.g., with ASPEN HYSYS or SimSci Pro-II).
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
