Position Overview

The Payroll Accountant works in the Payroll Accounting team which is part of the bigger Global Tax, Payroll and Stock family. The Payroll Accountant works closely with other team members in Payroll Accounting based in Singapore to process the accounting entries for APAC countries and is an integral part of the entire payroll and closing process. The Payroll Accountant has the opportunity to work with cross teams in headquarters, EMEA and APAC including Stock Admin, HR Benefits, Global Mobility, Corporate Accounting and Tax. **Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for monthly payroll activities such as collating and validating inputs and outputs
- Prepare payroll journal entries and responsible for month end closing activities
- Provide analysis for payroll related balance sheet account reconciliation
- Collaborate with Stock team and reconcile numbers from company’s stock program
- Prepare and maintain accurate and compliant records for internal and external audit control procedures. Responsible for all audit related inquiries and escalate as needed
- Timely submission of reports to meet statutory filing deadlines including but not limited to stock, payroll taxes, director’s shareholdings and any other adhoc payroll related reporting
- Analyze variances and provide explanation on fluxes during quarter end close
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams such as HR, Finance, Stock, Tax, Global Mobility in administration of payroll matters
- Attend to payroll queries from employees
- Strive for constant improvement in payroll processes

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in payroll with APAC region exposure preferred
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree with accounting coursework
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), SAP and HRIS system such as Workday
- Meticulous and analytical with problem-solving mindset
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong communication skills
