Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to create engaging designs according to requirements. In this role, you should be highly creative and have a sharp, attentive eye for visual detail. Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and sell our company vision. This will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract, with the view to discuss permanent options at the end of this term.

**Responsibilities**
- Participate in a variety of design projects from concept to completion.
- Understand project requirements and concepts, produce engaging design solutions.
- Use various techniques to create drafts, models and prototypes.
- Produce final design solutions ranging from banners, interfaces, presentations, infographics) in the format of drafts to prototypes
- Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects.
- Collaborate with team members to launch designs.
- Take on special design tasks to support multiple projects.
- Use feedback from leaders to improve work.
**Requirements (Necessary)**
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer.
- Experience with design software (e.g. InVision) and graphics editing tools (e.g. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience in sprint participation, prototyping tools, understanding in design thinking methodologies.
- Ability to adhere to style guides while creatively solving design challenges.
- Ability to handle front-end development challenges in the sprint process, working in collaboration with developers to solution for an amicable solution that doesn’t compromise UX.
- Understanding of visual elements, information hierarchy, UX.
- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, mobile-first, responsive design, bootstrap.
- Excellent communication ability.
- Teamwork skills.
- A keen eye and attention to detail, translating into accurate design asset management, organised group management in Sketch files, version management.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently, at speed.
**Requirements (Desired)**
- Copywriting experience.
- Interaction design experience.
- Storytelling skill via presentation (Powerpoint).
- User-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
