A Research Associate position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
- C onduct research on low cost/carbon bendable concrete material. The developed materials may be incorporated into other advanced construction methods
- Responsible for the new sustainable low cost/carbon bendable concrete development
- Testing of all relevant aspects of the developed advanced material
- Conducting cost-benefit analysis of the material developed
**Job Requirements**:
- Master's degree from a renowned university in material science, mechanical, civil engineering or related fields
- R elevant research experience/expertise and/or strong journal publication record. Prior experience on similar research and strong record of journal publication and/or IP generation will be favourably reviewed
- Extensive knowledge on bendable concrete/ECC material
- R elevant experiment skills such as nano and/or microstructural based material tailoring, novel and sustainable concrete development, mechanical testing, and material chemical and micro-structural analysis, as well as FEM analysis
- Familiar with relevant analytical and experimental technique/skills, hands-on experience as well as solid theoretical background; excellent paper/report writing skills
