Solar Site Installer

**Site Survey & Data Collection**:
Conduct comprehensive site surveys for various types of roofs, including HDB, Commercial & Industrial (C&I), concrete flat roofs, tile roofs, and metal roofs.

Collect detailed site survey data, including measurements, shading analysis, and potential obstacles for mounting solar systems.

Evaluate the electrical infrastructure, including the switch room, main switchboard (MSB), and any available spare distribution board (DB) breakers.

Assess the possibility of extending the switchboard if there are no available spare breakers.

Gather all necessary data for the design and installation of the solar system and submit it for consultant approval.

**Design & Planning**:
Prepare calculations for DC/AC cable sizing, trunking sizes, and cable lengths for submission to the consultant.

Understand and design electrical layouts, including single-line diagrams, interconnection details, and wiring block diagrams necessary for installation.

Develop project plans, checklists, and timelines in collaboration with site supervisors to ensure project execution meets client and internal requirements.

**Material Preparation**:
Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and ensure all materials and tools needed for installation are identified and organized as per internal guidelines.

Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of tools, equipment, and installation materials to the site.

**Pre-Installation Site Marking**:
Mark installation areas on-site for mounting solar panels and other necessary equipment.

Provide detailed instructions and guidance on mounting structures to workers and site supervisors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.

**Installation Execution**:
Supervise and actively participate in the installation of solar panels and associated electrical systems, ensuring proper mounting of structures and safe electrical connections.

Oversee the integration and commissioning of inverter systems and solar monitoring systems as per project requirements.

Conduct pre-test QA/QC procedures, in coordination with Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW), to ensure all components are functioning as required before system tie-in and shutdown.

Check all labels and markings on electrical equipment and cables as per customer requirements on-site.

Act as the Person-in-Charge (PIC) on assigned sites, coordinating tasks with workers and supervisors to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Ensure compliance with local Singapore work, health, and safety requirements during installation.

**Compliance & Safety Checks**:
Ensure all installation activities are carried out in accordance with Singapore's local codes and regulations regarding work, health, and safety.

Conduct final inspections, safety checks, and system performance tests to confirm the system is installed correctly and fully operational before handover.

**Post-Installation Commissioning & Handover**:
Assist in commissioning activities, ensuring the solar system is fully integrated, tested, and operational according to design specifications.

Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted, including commissioning reports, test results, and QA/QC checklists.

**Reporting & Communication**:
Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and internal teams to resolve any issues or concerns during the project.

Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Project Manager necessary for the successful execution of the project.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power, or relevant technical qualifications.

Experience with solar panel installations on various roof types (HDB, C&I, concrete flat, tile, metal roofs).

Strong understanding of electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and wiring details.

Knowledge of DC/AC cable sizing, cable length calculation, and trunking.

Familiarity with solar inverter systems, monitoring systems, and pre-commissioning procedures.

Experience in conducting pre-test QA/QC, system labeling, and system integration.

Ability to assess switch rooms, main switchboards (MSB), and distribution boards (DB) for available spare breakers and potential switchboard extensions.

Knowledge of Singapore’s work, health, and safety regulations.

Experience in leading and coordinating workers and site supervisors during installation.
