Vice President - Acceptance & Platform Development, SEA
Customer Solution Center (CSC) is a new structure which enables Mastercard to develop better solutions & bundles for prioritized customer segments in markets. It is basically the housing for all Mastercard capabilities, and it aims to drive Mastercard growth, influence, and revenue by creating and selling compelling data-driven, scalable needs-based solutions to new and existing customers by tapping Mastercard’s extensive toolbox of product and service offerings.
Acceptance development and expansion in electronic payments are areas of significant opportunity and in order to sustain our current growth rate and secure market leadership, we are looking for a Vice President - Acceptance Development to lead execution efforts, and to build upon the current network we have built.
This role is primarily customer facing and is primarily focused on ensuring the successful execution of Mastercard initiatives in the SEA Markets across for expansion of acceptance of Digital Payments, Prepaid, Credit and Debit Cards by partnering with Mastercard customers - Traditional (Bank Acquirers) and non-tradition (New players, Monoline Acquirers, and/or any other player who brings scalable and innovative payment solutions towards merchants and acquiring partnerships).
This role reports to the SVP, Customer Solutions for SEA
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a commercially viable strategy to leverage Mastercard’s solutions and ensuring a go-to-market plan to realize Acceptance expansion / development and to scale the Mastercard Payment Gateway Service (MPGS) across our key markets in SEA.
- Align execution efforts with Account / Country Managers and other internal stakeholders (Products, Marketing, Customer Delivery, CIS, etc.), within the market, regional and global teams; exhibit strong leadership and accountability in the process
- Articulate a macro and micro view of the Digital and Core Payments, for both Consumer and Commercial market in the SEA, based on the various players and diverse ecosystem dynamics; and translate this knowledge into actionable strategies, and propose actions to address market changes
- Works with CSC Lead, country managers to prioritize opportunities and ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities that will deliver the set targets and objectives laid out for the division.
- Work with the local and regional teams to develop a strong understanding of the landscape, identify, know and understand the players and participants in the ecosystem and leverage our assets and solutions to address their payment requirements.
- Accountability for ensuring that the Business has the right product implementation assets, in the right markets, at the right time to achieve the business’ strategic objectives.
- Client facing, ability to articulate use cases, understand market / client feedback and needs, to localize product construct for the markets.
- Develop, review and report on strategy and objectives and ensure they are well understood across the various departments. Provides market intelligence and requirements to regional Product Management and Product Development teams along with their associated product specialists.
- Drives Mastercard strategic solutions / products in a holistic way ensure the current Mastercard strategic focus is executed at the market level by collaborating with other functional leads within and outside of the CSC.
All About You
- 12 - 15 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or MBA.
- Deep understanding of Mastercard’s market position and competitor offerings.
- Product or services experience in payments or technology industries with a priority in B2B, B2B2C environment.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and market intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to strategically lead cross functional teams through complex business environment to drive business outcomes and penetrate to new segments.
