**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Managing day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen and liaising with the Executive and Sous Chefs to ensure a successful working environment
- Preparing doughs, fillings, batters, icings and other components by measuring or weighing ingredients using containers or scales to ensure consistency and high-quality baked goods.
- Developing new recipes for seasonal menus.
- Preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including pastries by following traditional and modern recipes.
- Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.
- Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for baking as when needed, but within budget.
- Ensuring the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
- Supervising and training staff members, when necessary.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts, baking, pastry or any relevant field.
- At least 2 years of working experience as a Baker or relevant role.
- Possess food hygiene and safety certification
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry-making process.
- Knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in teams and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
